OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS – SHOWCASES
Strasbourg Music Week 2027

ENGLISH VERSION

1. Eligibility Requirements

Artists and bands wishing to apply to perform at Strasbourg Music Week must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Have been musically active for more than one year.
  • Be available between 11 and 14 May 2027.
  • Perform original music (covers are not accepted).
  • Have released at least three tracks or have a demo available.
  • Be supported by at least one music industry professional or organisation (manager, record label, venue, booking agency, publisher, media outlet, or other).
  • Be based in France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, or German-speaking or French-speaking Switzerland.

 

2. Selection Process

Artists will be selected by our crew of music industry professionals. Applications will be assessed based on artistic quality, originality, the project's current activities and developments, and its alignment with the festival's values (see our Charter).

➡️ The jury reserves the right to select some artists for the festival programme outside of this open call (partner showcases, etc.)

Particular attention will be paid to the diversity of musical styles, gender representation, emerging talent, and a balanced representation of the different European territories.

 

3. Application Procedure

- Applications are open from 14 October to 8 November 2026 (inclusive).

4. Financial and Technical Conditions (Festival)

  • Each selected musician will receive a gross performance fee for their live performance.
  • One technician accompanying the band or artist may also be paid under the same conditions.
  • The festival will provide:
    • Technical support and facilities.
    • Accommodation and an evening meal.
    • One event pass per person.

Please note: Travel expenses are not covered by the festival.

5. Data Protection

Personal data collected as part of the application process will be used exclusively for the organisation and programming of the festival.
