Claire Monville has been immersed in culture since her early days. Initially involved in the contemporary art sector, she then transitioned through Jeunesses Musicales before joining the Music Council of the French Community of Belgium, of which she has been the director for 13 years. 
She has also worked as a press attaché at the Festival de Wallonie, co-founded the festival 100% which is the origin of the Musiq’3 Festival in Brussels where she remains active, organized concert tours abroad, and produced shows. 
She also participated in the creation of Studio des Variétés WB, of which she still serves as president. She is one of the founders of the Scivias platform, which works for better representation of women. Over nearly 30 years, she has thus been able to develop extensive experience in production, organization, and programming, with the particularity of being interested in all musical styles.

Founded in 1981, the Music Council is a non-profit association whose objective is to inform, advise, and promote the music sector in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. It represents the Wallonia-Brussels Federation on the international stage at the UNESCO International Music Council and the European Music Council. 
The activities of the Music Council concern music professionals, amateurs, and music lovers across all types of music. 
Since 1985, around June 21, the Music Council has been organizing and coordinating the Fête de la Musique in Wallonia and Brussels, which has taken on an international and transcontinental dimension. 

The Music Council also produces and supports other initiatives, including a competition for emerging artists and those on the path to professionalism (Du F. dans le texte). It also develops a sector dedicated to pedagogy (GRiAM) and organizes numerous information days through its Musiscope service. The Music Council is also the author of numerous publications, magazines, guides, and studies aimed at all audiences. It publishes the magazine Larsen as well as a magazine, Orphée Apprenti, dedicated to music education. These works inform about the multiple facets of the history, evolution, and current events of the music world in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation as a whole. It also produces the Intégrale de la Musique, a database containing as much information as possible about the music sector in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. 

The Music Council also participates in the Belgian Music Week. A week of Belgian music in partnership with VI.BE, VRT, Court-Circuit, and RTBF aimed at showcasing and honoring artists and groups from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. Since 1999, the Music Council has managed the Maison des Musiques, a place that hosts various musical institutions from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. Numerous activities, including concerts (classical, pop, current, young audience, etc.), workshops, showcases, among others, are programmed throughout the year at the Maison des Musiques, in partnership with actors and actresses from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. The Maison des Musiques also hosts many artists for residencies.

Since 2021, the Music Council has hosted the Scivias platform, whose objective is to drive change for a more inclusive music sector in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. As part of its projects, the Music Council regularly establishes privileged partnerships with French structures.
