MEDIA TRAINING WORKSHOP: Decoding Promotion and Interviews

In a constantly evolving media landscape, knowing how to communicate effectively is essential for any artist or music professional. This Media Training workshop offers an immersive dive into the media world – print, radio, web, and TV – to understand their specificities and adapt your message to different formats.

The workshop explores the differences between communication, marketing, promotion, media, and social networks, and highlights the stakes involved in an interview: framing, editorial angles, and the risks of message distortion. Through listening to and analyzing interview excerpts, as well as hands-on practice, participants will identify best practices to structure their message, capture an audience’s attention, and take control of their image.

The training will also provide key tools to turn promotion into a strategic lever for career development, while building long-lasting relationships with the media. This group workshop offers each participant a unique opportunity to receive personalized feedback and advice, while learning from real-world examples of other artistic projects.

This workshop is offered by the Alsatian pop Music Resource Centers: La Laiterie / Artefact network programme, Le Noumatrouff, and Zone 51.

Antoine Dabrowski (Fr)

Journalist, DJ, radio personality, and passionate lover of all music—from techno to chanson, classical to jazz—Antoine Dabrowski spent 18 years at France Inter, working alongside Didier Varrod, André Manoukian, Isabelle Dhordain, and Rebecca Manzoni.

In October 2015, he launched Tsugi Radio with the team behind Tsugi magazine—a web radio station created to continue doing what he loves most: introducing the public to new talent.

In ten years, Tsugi Radio has become a key player in the music industry, offering a wide range of shows hosted by passionate residents and covering around thirty festivals across France. Antoine Dabrowski hosts Place des Fêtes, a music and culture show tuned into emerging trends. Alongside his columnists and guests, he explores the pulse of musical and artistic creation in all its forms.

From its studio in Parc de la Villette, Tsugi Radio has welcomed artists such as Olivia Ruiz, Chinese Man, Voyou, Sheila, Emel, Gwendoline, Martin Luminet, Charlotte Cardin, Solann, Pierre de Maere, Structures, Manu Le Malin, Eloi, Terrenoire, Eddy de Pretto, Zaho de Sagazan, Philippe Katerine, Yuksek, Voyou…
