Gabi Elvira Soliman aka El_vira, is an Egyptian-Peruvian multidisciplinary artist, writer, and community organizer. Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Process Design at Hyperwerk HGK, their work focuses primarily on education, particularly in queer feminist and anti-colonial theory, which they integrate into roles such as their work in education and outreach at MUKS Riehen. Alongside their academic and outreach efforts, Gabi has been a cultural worker for several years, organizing grassroots festivals and currently working in booking and production at Kollektiv Humbug. A central thread in Gabi’s practice is amplifying BIPOC voices and creating platforms for them to reclaim their narratives as a means of empowerment. Through music, whether performing as a DJ or exploring other creative forms, El_vira connects with their heritage and ancestors, using it as a powerful medium to foster cultural resonance and create liberating, joyous spaces for collective experience.
